History

In 2000, trials were undertaken in a local shearing shed, with the production of a Chardonnay from fruit grown at Lankeys Creek. A Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz were also produced from fruit grown in new neighbouring vineyards.

As a result of the success of these trials Lankeys Creek Wines Pty Ltd was established for the 2002 vintage with the goal of producing quality wines from fruit grown in the Tumbarumba wine region.

In the following years Lankeys Creek Wines has seen some success at boutique wine shows and has generated good support for its wines and contract wine making in the local area.
